WEB GEMS- Bot 7th: Taylor Phillips robbed Eddie Mathews of a base hit.

Duke Snider cracked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Chicago-NL Cubs pulled out
a win over the Kansas City Athletics by a score of 9 to 6 at Wrigely
Field.

Chicago-NL had the game winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 3 runs on 3
hits. After an out was recorded, Bobby Del Greco was the sparkplug when he
laced a base-hit. Preston Ward followed and he lined a single. Eddie
Mathews then launched a three-run homer making Chicago-NL the victor and
beginning a joyous home town celebration. Chicago-NL had many opportunities
throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.

The winning pitcher was Robin Roberts(11-16) who allowed 1 run in 1 inning.
Bob Grim(7-4) was tagged with the loss in relief.
