Dave Foutz went 12 solid innings as the Brooklyn Bridegrooms defeated the
slumping Cleveland Blues in 12 innings 6 to 5 at Washington Park.

The game was deadlocked at 5 after nine full innings. Finally, Brooklyn
pulled the game out in the 12th inning. Pop Corkhill lashed a single. Foutz
stepped up to the plate and he slapped a base-hit. Darby O'Brien then hit a
sacrifice fly making Brooklyn the winners and sending the 3,046 fans home
happy. A wild affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times.

Foutz(10-8) lasted until the end allowing 5 runs for the win. Ed Keas(3-2) was
given the loss in relief. He pitched 3 and 1/3 innings and surrendered 5
hits and 1 walk.
