Simon Nicholls smacked 2 triples and had 3 RBI as the Boston-AL Americans
outscored the Washington Nationals 10 to 7.

Boston-AL had the winning rally in the bottom of the 8th inning with 3 runs on
4 hits.  After an out was recorded, Ed Hahn got things rolling when he
singled.  Billy Sullivan was next and he slapped a one-base hit.  After
another out, Nicholls then tripled driving home two runs.  Ginger Beaumont
was up next and he lined a single scoring the final run of the inning.
Boston-AL had a total of 15 hits for the game.  

The victory was credited to Wild Bill Donovan(1-1) who went 3 and 2/3 innings,
allowing no runs. Joe McGinnity(1-1) was given the loss.  He allowed a few
too many baserunners giving up 15 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.  

The Boston-AL ballclub's record now stands at 10-5.  With the loss, Washington
has a record of 4-4 lately, 4-4 overall.
