Stoney McGlynn was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the Washington Nationals outscored the Boston-AL Americans 4
to 3.

Washington had 2 runs cross the plate in the 6th inning.  Monte Cross led off
and started the rally when he drew a walk.  Frank Laporte followed next and
he tripled knocking in a run.  After another out, Claude Ritchey then hit a
deep fly scoring the final run of the inning.  Washington took care of
Boston-AL with no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.  

The win went to McGlynn(1-1) who allowed 3 runs in the game. Rube Waddell(1-3)
was hit with the loss.  He pitched 9 innings and surrendered 4 hits and 4
walks.
