Cincinnati scored what proved to be the only run of the contest in the top of
the 5th inning. After an out was recorded, Bill Carrigan reached on an
error. Joe Tinker followed next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Brown
then doubled scoring the run. Cincinnati had only 6 hits for the game.
Brown got help from Pat Ragan who was credited with his 2nd save.
