Bobby Morgan jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI as the Cincinnati
Reds outscored the Philadelphia-AL Athletics in 10 innings 7 to 4.

The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings.  Finally, Cincinnati
prevailed in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Larry Doby opened
up the rally as he reached on an error.  Hank Sauer came to the plate and
reached on an error.  Morgan then lofted a three-run 'big-fly' making
Cincinnati the winners and sending the 22,043 fans home happy.  Cincinnati
banged out 11 hits on the afternoon.  

The win went to Frank Smith(3-2) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. The losing
pitcher was Fritz Dorish(0-1) in relief.  He gave up 3 runs and 1 hit in 1/3
of an inning.
