Fred Tenney collected 2 extra-base hits and had 2 RBI and Buster Brown allowed
Tenney to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game at South End Grounds as
the Boston Rustlers staged a comeback win over the Brooklyn Superbas by the
count of 3 to 2.

Boston won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2
runs utilizing 2 base hits.  After an out was recorded, Bill Sweeney
jump-started the rally as he delivered a base-hit.  Tenney was next and he
tripled bringing in a run.  Peaches Graham then worked the squeeze play to
perfection making Boston the victors to the delight of the home town
faithful.  Boston banged out 9 hits on the afternoon.  

Brown(1-0) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. The losing pitcher
was Cy Barger(0-1).  He pitched 8 and 1/3 innings allowing 9 hits and 2
walks.
