Will Calihan allowed George Wood to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
at Union Park as the Philadelphia Athletics beat the Baltimore Orioles in 10
innings 9 to 6.

Both teams were tied at 6 runs apiece after nine innings. Philadelphia came
out the victor in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Wood keyed the
rally when he delivered a base-hit.  Jack McGeachey was next and he laced a
single.  One out later, Dave McKeough then laced a single scoring a one-base
hit run.  Tommy Corcoran followed next and he tripled which accounted for two
additional runs.  Philadelphia had 9 hits for the afternoon.  

The winning pitcher was Calihan(1-0) who allowed 6 runs for the game. The
losing pitcher was Egyptian Healy(0-1) in relief.
