Harry Lord had 5 hits and 3 RBI as the Philadelphia-AL Athletics topped the
Brooklyn Dodgers by a score of 11 to 7 at Washington Park.

Philadelphia-AL won the game with a rally in the 8th inning when they tallied
6 runs on 4 hits. The key at-bat was by Lord who deflated the mood of the
partisan fans when he laced a one-base hit plating two runs. Philadelphia-AL
and Brooklyn each finished the afternoon with 18 hits.

Ed Summers(1-0) got the win allowing 5 runs in 7 innings. Lew Moren(0-2) was
the loser in relief. He gave up 6 runs and 4 hits in 2/3 of an inning.
