Jersey Bakley tossed a complete game at Boundary Field where the Washington
Statesmen beat the Boston Reds by the score of 9 to 8.

Joe Visner provided much of the offense.  He tripled knocking in a run in the
1st inning and cleared the bases with a Grand Slam homerun in the 2nd inning.
Washington managed 7 hits in their victory.  

The winning pitcher was Bakley(1-0) who allowed 8 runs for the game. Charlie
Buffinton(0-1) was the losing pitcher.  Washington knocked him around a bit,
as he gave up 9 runs in 8 innings.
