Nap Rucker went 9 solid innings and Billy Maloney had 2 base hits at
Washington Park where the Brooklyn Superbas beat the Boston Doves by the
score of 2 to 1.
Brooklyn brought 2 runs across the plate in the 3rd inning with the help of 3
hits. That was all Rucker(1-0) needed. After the 3rd inning, neither team
was able to score.
Irv Young(0-1) ended up with the loss. He pitched 8 innings and surrendered 7
