In a lop-sided win the New York-AL Yankees ripped the Brooklyn Dodgers by a 10
to 4 count.

Hank Aaron helped send the fans home happy.  He slapped a base-hit bringing
home two baserunners in the 1st inning, slapped a single which brought home a
run in the 4th inning and lifted one out of the park for a two run home run
in the 6th inning.  Overall New York-AL out-hit Brooklyn 9 to 6.  

The win went to Art Fowler(1-0) who allowed 4 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Sam
Jones(0-1) was the losing pitcher.  His biggest problem was control as he
allowed 8 walks in 5 innings.
