Cy Morgan completed the game without help from the bullpen and Bobby Byrne had
3 base hits and scored 3 times as the Chicago-NL Cubs topped the Boston-NL
Braves by a score of 6 to 1 at South End Grounds.

Boston-NL was unable to recover after Chicago-NL went ahead in the top of the
3rd inning when they scored 2 runs on 3 hits.  That was all the runs
Morgan(2-0) needed.  Chicago-NL rapped out 10 hits for the afternoon.  

Jim Scott(0-3) was the losing pitcher.  He was unable to control the
Chicago-NL offense and allowed 9 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings.
