The Brooklyn Dodgers nipped the New York-NL Giants in 11 innings 4 to 3 at
Ebbets Field in a hard fought contest.

The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings.  Finally, Brooklyn
pulled the game out in the 11th inning.  Burt Shotton was hit by a pitch.
Eddie Collins stepped into the batter's box and he laced a single.  Collins
took second on the throw.  Casey Stengel then would hit into a fielders
choice giving Brooklyn the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy.
Brooklyn and New York-NL each finished the afternoon with 10 hits.  

The victory went to Earl Moseley(1-1) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs.
Chief Johnson(0-1) was the loser in relief.  He pitched 2 innings giving up 2
hits and 1 walk.
