TEAM RISP- Athletics: 5 for 17 Pirates: 1 for 8

Buck Freeman had 5 hits and 5 RBI as the Philadelphia-AL Athletics defeated
the Pittsburgh Pirates by the score of 12 to 6 at Exposition Park.

Freeman had a big day at the plate. He laced a base-knock in the 1st inning,
tripled in the 3rd inning, ripped a one-base hit in the 4th inning, tripled
plating three runs in the 7th inning and stroked a single which scored a run
in the 9th inning. Offensively, Philadelphia-AL was a juggernaut. They
scored in 6 separate innings.

The win was credited to Doc White(2-0) who went 8 innings allowing 5 runs.
Luther Taylor(0-1) took the loss. 'Actually, I didn't feel that comfortable
at the plate today' Freeman said after the game. 'Despite that, I'm happy
with the results!
