Bill Sweeney allowed Bill Henderson to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game and Rooney Sweeney had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Belair Lot where the
Baltimore Monumentals beat the Washington Nationals 10 to 6.

Baltimore jumped out to the early lead in the first inning plating an isolated
run.  Washington had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.

The victory went to Sweeney(1-0) who went the distance allowing 6 runs. Milo
Lockwood(0-1) was hit with the loss.  He was touched for 12 hits and 3 walks
in 8 innings.
