Silver King completed the game without help from the bullpen and first baseman
Charlie Comiskey hit 2 doubles as the St. Louis Browns defeated the
Cincinnati Red Stockings by the score of 10 to 9 at League Park.

King(1-0) pitched a solid game.  He was reached for 10 hits and 2 walks in 9
innings.  The game was a wild affair with the lead changing hands 6 times.

Tony Mullane(0-1) absorbed the loss.  He got hit hard, allowing 16 hits and 5
walks in 9 innings.  'I didn't have my best stuff but sometimes you just get
lucky,' King said, 'this was one of those times.'
