The Chicago Colts bested the St. Louis Browns in 12 innings by a 5 to 2 score
at Robison Field.

Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. Chicago won it in
the 12th inning.  Bert Abbey started the inning off right when he lined a
base-hit.  Jimmy Ryan came next and he doubled.  Bill Dahlen then was hit by
a pitch.  Walt Wilmot was up next and he laced a base-knock knocking home two
runners.  After an out was recorded, Bill Lange stepped in and he stroked a
single scoring the final run of the inning.  Both teams totaled 9 hits on the
afternoon.  

Abbey(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 4 innings and allowing no
runs. Harry Staley(0-1) ended up with the loss in relief.
