Zeke Wilson pitched a complete game at Robison Field where the Cleveland
Spiders beat the St. Louis Browns by the score of 7 to 1.

Cleveland jumped out to the early lead in the first inning scoring 2 runs on 3
base hits.  Jesse Burkett got things going when he lofted a solo-blast
'downtown'.  After an out was recorded, Cupid Childs stepped up to the plate
and he lined a one-base hit.  John Shearon then reached on an error.  After
another out, Jimmy McAleer stepped in and he slapped a base-hit scoring the
final run of the inning.  That was all Wilson(1-0) needed.  Cleveland had a
total of 13 hits for the game.  

Tom Parrott(0-1) ended up with the loss. He was knocked around by Cleveland,
allowing 13 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings.
