Center fielder Sam Crawford had 4 hits and 5 RBI and George Mullin went the
distance as the Detroit Tigers man-handled the St. Louis Browns - the final
score was 13 to 3.

The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Crawford.  He lined a single knocking in a run in the 1st inning,
doubled scoring a run in the 3rd inning, delivered a base-hit bringing in a
run in the 4th inning and doubled bringing home two baserunners in the 7th
inning.  Detroit managed 17 hits in their victory.  

Mullin(2-0) got the victory, allowing 3 runs for the game. Bill Bailey(0-1)
took the loss.  He got hit hard, allowing 17 hits and 8 walks in 8 innings.
