Hank Gastright whitewashed Toledo at Recreation Park as the Columbus Solons
belted the Toledo Maumees by the count of 10 to 0.

Gastright(1-1) looked very much in control throughout the day.  He surrendered
only 5 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings improving his ERA from 9.00 to 3.21.
Columbus rapped out 11 hits for the afternoon.  

The losing pitcher was Charlie Sprague(0-1).  He pitched 1/3 of an inning
