Ed Siever went the distance and first baseman George Stovall had 4 hits and 5
RBI at Palace of the Fans where the Cincinnati Reds beat the Philadelphia-AL
Athletics 9 to 6.

Stovall helped send the fans home happy.  He doubled which was good for two
runs in the 1st inning, laced a single in the 2nd inning, ripped a one-base
hit scoring a run in the 4th inning and doubled scoring two baserunners in
the 8th inning.  Cincinnati managed 15 hits in their victory.  

Siever(2-0) lasted until the end allowing 6 runs for the win. Doc White(1-3)
was the loser in relief.  He allowed Cincinnati 4 runs in 2 innings of work.
