The Brooklyn Superbas toppled the New York Giants in 10 innings by a 5 to 1
score at Polo Grounds.

Both teams were tied at 1 runs apiece after nine innings.  Brooklyn came out
on top in the 10th inning.  Although they lost, New York did out-hit Brooklyn
9 to 6.  

The win was credited to Eddie Stack(1-0) who went 9 innings allowing 1 run.
Ernie Shore(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He allowed 4 runs and 3
hits in 2/3 of an inning.
