what he started and was credited with a complete game at League Park where
the Chicago Orphans beat the Cincinnati Reds by the score of 4 to
3.

Griffith(2-0) had a solid outing for Chicago.  He allowed 10 hits and 4 walks
in 9 innings.  Chicago rapped out 13 hits for the afternoon.  

Jack Taylor(0-1) absorbed the loss.  'I struggled a bit out there today,'
Griffith said, 'but I toughed it out and we got the win.'
