Hobe Ferris had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Bill Bailey had a complete game as
the St. Louis Browns topped the Detroit Tigers by a score of 4 to 3 at
Bennett Park.

St. Louis scored 3 runs in the top of the 4th inning when they came up with 4
base hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Ferris who quieted the home
crowd when he tripled bringing home two baserunners.  St. Louis had 11 hits
for the afternoon.  

Bailey(1-0) got the victory, allowing 3 runs for the game. Ed Siever(1-1)
absorbed the loss.  He pitched 9 innings allowing 11 hits and 1 walk.
