Lockman had a good evening at the plate. He delivered a single resulting in a run in the 1st inning, emptied the bases with a Grand Slam homerun in the 2nd inning and ripped a one-base hit in the 4th inning. St. Louis rapped out 12 hits for the night. Harry Brecheen(4-1) got the win allowing 10 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Brecheen got relief help from Bubba Harris who gained credit for his 5th save.
