Baltimore scored the decisive runs in a big bottom of the 9th inning scoring 3 runs. After an out was recorded, Pop Snyder opened up the rally as he reached on an error. Sellman stepped up next and he lined a base-hit, and an error was also committed. Warren White then reached on an error resulting in a run. White took off for second and slid in with a stolen base. One out later, Charlie Gould came to bat and was walked intentionally to load the bases. Candy Cummings then uncorked a pitch that was ruled a passed ball bringing home one more runner. Charlie Sweasy followed and he reached on an error making Baltimore the victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration. Baltimore bats were very productive in the 6th inning with 5 runs on 4 hits. Despite scoring in 6 separate innings, Philadelphia W could not get the win. Jack Manning(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 2/3 of an inning. Cummings(0-2) was the losing pitcher. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 15 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings.
