In a startling finish the Toledo Maumees staged a comeback then held on to win
over the St. Louis Browns by a score of 10 to 9 at Sportsman's Park.

Toledo won the game with a rally in the 9th inning as they scored 4 runs on 2
base hits.  The critical plate appearance was by Billy Alvord who quieted the
home crowd when he tripled which was good for two runs.  Toledo kept the
pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6 different innings.

Egyptian Healy(2-0) went 8 innings allowing 7 runs for the victory. Dan Abbott
got the save, his 1st.  Ice Box Chamberlain(0-1) was tagged with the loss.
Toledo knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 10 runs in 9 innings.

'Charlie Morton was estatic following the game, 'You love stealing one on the
road like this.  We just kept plugging away until we pulled it out!'
