Charley Hall had a complete game at Huntington Ave Grnds as the Boston Red Sox
won a thriller over the Philadelphia Athletics in, 3 to 2.

The game was won by Boston when they scored a run in the bottom of the 9th
inning.  Jake Stahl tripled.  Heinie Wagner next to the plate and he lashed a
single making Boston the winners and sending the 4,876 fans home happy.
Boston had only 5 hits for the afternoon.  

Hall(1-0) lasted until the end allowing 2 runs for the win. Harry Krause(0-1)
was tagged with the loss.  He allowed 5 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.
