Ted Williams blasted a homerun and had 2 RBI as the Boston Red Sox came back
to win one over Cincinnati Reds, 7 to 6.

Boston scored the winning runs in the 9th inning when they tallied 4 runs on 3
hits.  Boston rapped out 10 hits for the afternoon.  

Jack Banta(1-0) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory. The
losing pitcher was Preacher Roe(1-1) in relief.  He was pinned with the loss
despite not allowing an earned run in his 1 inning of work.  

'Wow, that was fun!', Banta said following the game.  'Once in a while you
play a game that reminds you just why you got into this business to begin
with!'
