Phillies outscored the Philadelphia-AL Athletics 8 to 3.

The Philadelphia-NL fans enjoyed the offense provided by Musial.  He doubled
in the 4th inning, ripped a base-hit scoring two baserunners in the 5th
inning and doubled plating all three baserunners in the 8th inning.
Philadelphia-NL had 11 hits for the game and Philadelphia-AL had 8.
