Cleveland jumped on top of Washington in the 2nd inning scoring one runner on
2 base hits. That was all the offense they were to need. Cleveland provided
plenty of action in the 3rd inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 5 hits and
the 6th inning which saw them score 4 runs on 4 hits. Cleveland finished
with 21 hits while Washington ended up with 5.

The victory was credited to Bob Feller(2-0) who went 6 innings, allowing no

loss. He allowed 15 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings.
