TEAM RISP- Reds: 4 for 11 Nationals: 3 for 13

Henry Moore had 4 hits and Bill Wise racked up an impressive total of 13
strikeouts at Capitol Grounds as the Washington Nationals beat the Boston
Reds by the count of 8 to 4.

Wise(2-1) had a solid outing for Washington. He went 9 innings allowing 11
hits and no walks. Washington and Boston each finished the afternoon with 11
hits.

Tommy Bond(3-1) was the loser. Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of
Wise - except Boston. Tim Murnane lamented, 'He just was 'on' this
afternoon. He was keeping our guys off balance all game. A fine game by a
good strikeout pitcher - makes it a fun game for the hometown fans -
unfortunately we were the visitors!'
