WEB GEMS- Top 5th: Joe Quinn robbed Con Daily of a base hit.
Top 10th: Harry Stovey robbed Emmett Seery of an extra base hit.

Hardy Richardson had 3 base hits as the Boston Reds outscored the Brooklyn
Ward's Wonders in 12 innings 7 to 6.

The score was knotted at 5 after nine innings. Boston won the game in the
12th inning. Harry Stovey drew a walk. Stovey got a good lead and stole
second. Boston continued their aggressive style with another stolen base.
Gus Weyhing then fired a sharp breaking ball that appeared to cross-up the
catcher. In any event, it got by him and was ruled a passed ball resulting
in a mighty exciting win for Boston and the 1,563 home town fans in
attendance. Boston banged out 8 hits on the afternoon.

The win was credited to Kid Madden(1-1) who went 1 inning allowing no runs.
Weyhing(1-1) was the loser in relief. He was the victim of a defensive lapse
and did not allow an earned run in the game.
