Kid Gleason tossed a complete game and Jack Glasscock hit one over the fence
and had 3 RBI as the St. Louis Browns defeated the Pittsburg Pirates by the
score of 5 to 4 at Exposition Park.

St. Louis came up with 3 runs in the top of the 7th inning. The key offensive
moment was provided by Glasscock who deflated the crowd as he lofted a
three-run bomb. Pittsburg threatened in the 9th but their rally came up
short.

The win was credited to Gleason(2-0) who went the whole way allowing 4 runs.
Mark Baldwin(2-2) absorbed the loss. He gave up 5 runs and 11 hits in 9
innings.
