WEB GEMS- Bot 1st: Jimmy Barrett robbed Harry Steinfeldt of a Homerun!
Top 4th: Harry Bemis blocked the plate, saving a run!

Mike Donlin slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds defeated
the St. Louis-AL Browns 10 to 3 at Sportsman'S Park.

Cincinnati went ahead for good in the 3rd inning plating 3 runs utilizing 3
base hits. Jimmy Sheckard led off and he singled. Donlin followed and he
bombed a two-run dinger. Jimmy Barrett then drew a walk. Sam Mertes stepped
in and he stroked a single. Mertes took second on the throw. After another
out, Johnny Kling came to bat and hit a deep fly scoring the final run of the
inning. The early run support proved sufficient for John Malarkey(4-0) and
Cincinnati. That was all the run support Malarkey required. St. Louis-AL
was out-hit by Cincinnati, 16 hits to 11.

Harry Howell(0-1) took the loss. He was knocked around by Cincinnati,
allowing 9 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings.
