Dick Rudolph threw a complete game shutout as the Boston Braves topped the
Philadelphia Phillies in 10 innings by a score of 2 to 0 at Baker Bowl.

The score was a scoreless tie after nine.  Boston ended up winning it in the
10th inning.  Rudolph led off and started the attack as he singled.  Herbie
Moran was next and he lined a single.  After an out was recorded, Ted Cather
then reached on an error plating two runs.  Both teams ended up with 7 hits
on the afternoon.  

For Rudolph(2-0) it was his 2nd shutout this year. The loss was charged to Ben
Tincup(0-1) in relief.  He was pinned with the loss despite not allowing an
earned run in his 1 inning of work.
