TEAM RISP- Cubs: 2 for 13 Dodgers: 6 for 11

Stan Lopata slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI as the Brooklyn Dodgers topped the
Chicago-NL Cubs by a score of 12 to 7 at Ebbets Field.

Lopata had a big day at the plate. He cracked a two-run shot in the 1st
inning, delivered a single in the 3rd inning and doubled in the 5th inning.
Due to a poorly pitched ballgame, scoring in 5 different innings was still
not enough for Chicago-NL to come away with the victory.

Gene Conley(1-1) got the win allowing 3 runs in 5 innings. Ray Narleski
preserved the game for Conley, recording his his 7th save. Bill Wight(1-2)
absorbed the loss. He was unable to control the Brooklyn offense and allowed
13 hits and 2 walks in 4 innings.
