In a close game the Chicago-NL Cubs got by the St. Louis-AL Browns by the
score of 5 to 3.

Chicago-NL had 3 runs cross the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning with the
help of 4 hits.  The big moment was provided by Larry McLean who made the
crowd come alive when he doubled bringing in two baserunners.  Chicago-NL had
10 hits for the afternoon while St. Louis-AL had 6.  

The win went to Willie Mitchell(3-1) who allowed no runs in 3 innings. Hank
Robinson(0-2) ended up with the loss.  He allowed 9 hits and 2 walks in 6 and
