Center fielder Cy Seymour had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Jack Powell went 9 strong
innings as the Cincinnati Reds were badly beaten by the New York-NL Giants,
15 to 0.

Seymour enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He delivered a one-base hit in the
2nd inning, clubbed a two-run home run in the 4th inning, stroked a base-hit
knocking in a run in the 7th inning and stroked a single in the 8th inning.
New York-NL provided plenty of action in the 7th inning which saw them score
6 runs on 7 hits and the 8th inning with 4 runs on 5 hits.  New York-NL had
21 hits for the afternoon.  

Powell(5-0) was credited with the shutout, his first of the year. Christy
Mathewson(0-4) suffered the loss.  He got hit hard, allowing 12 hits and 2
walks in 6 innings.
