Frank Smith was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Cleveland Naps by the
score of 7 to 4 at League Park.

Chicago scored 5 runs in the top of the 5th inning. The key offensive moment
was provided by Billy Purtell who disappointed the partisan crowd when he
doubled bringing home two baserunners. Chicago finished with just 4 hits in
the victory.

Smith(1-2) was the winner allowing 4 runs for the game. Heinie Berger(1-1)
took the loss. He surrendered 7 runs and 4 hits in 9 innings.
