Tiny Bonham performed beautifully in relief as the Philadelphia Phillies
defeated the Boston Red Sox by the score of 5 to 4 at Shibe
Park.

Philadelphia had 2 runs cross the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning when
they came up with 3 base hits.  They would be enough to earn the win.  Boston
had 12 hits in the game while Philadelphia had 9, but Philadelphia had the
more timely hits.  

The victory went to Bob Rush(1-0) who went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Bonham was credited with his 2nd save.  Jack Banta(1-1) was the loser
in relief.
