at Recreation Park where the Pittsburgh Alleghenys beat the Chicago White
Stockings 8 to 4.

Pittsburgh jumped on top of Chicago in the bottom of the 6th inning as they
scored 3 runs on 5 base hits.  Pittsburgh managed 11 hits in their victory.

The win was credited to Morris(2-1) who went the whole way allowing 4 runs.
George Van Haltren(0-2) was given the loss.  He was touched for 11 hits and 3
