The Cleveland Naps came roaring back in the top of the ninth to spoil the
anticipated celebration of the hometown fans.  The final score,, was 5 to
4.

Cleveland jumped on top to stay in the 7th inning plating one baserunner on 3
hits.  After an out was recorded, Harry Bay slapped a one-base hit, and an
error was also committed.  One out later, Elmer Flick stepped in and he
ripped a base-hit scoring the run.  Cleveland and Detroit each finished the
afternoon with 10 hits.  

Otto Hess(2-1) picked up the victory, allowing 4 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings.
Hess was helped out by Harry Eells who recorded his 1st save.  Ed Siever(0-2)
was given the loss.
