The St. Louis-AL Browns bested the Boston-AL Red Sox by a 4 to 1 score at
Huntington Ave Grnds.

St. Louis-AL came up with the deciding runs in the top of the 9th inning
plating 3 runs using 3 hits.  Sherry Magee got things going when he drew a
walk.  Bill Sweeney stepped up next and he drew a walk.  Jimmy Austin then
lashed a single to load the bases.  Jack Barry stepped in and he stroked a
one-base hit driving home two runs.  Barry took second on the throw.  Ivey
Wingo came to the plate and banged out a base-hit scoring the final run of
the inning.  St. Louis-AL had 8 hits for the afternoon.  

Ed Walsh(2-2) went 8 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Walsh got relief
help from Hank Robinson who gained credit for his 3rd save.  Boardwalk
Brown(0-1) was the losing pitcher.
