Third baseman Grady Hatton went deep and had 3 RBI at Ebbets Field where the
Cincinnati Reds beat the Brooklyn Dodgers in 10 innings 9 to 8.

Both teams were tied at 7 runs apiece after nine innings.  Cincinnati came out
on top in the 10th inning.  Hatton led off and he stroked a one-base hit, and
an error was also committed.  Jim Rivera followed and he cleared the fences
for a two-run home run.  Overall Cincinnati out-hit Brooklyn 13 to 10.  

Bob Keegan(1-0) allowed no runs in 2/3 of an inning, and picked up the
victory. Jim McDonald got the save, his 1st.  Ray Narleski(0-1) was the loser
in relief.
