Fred Dunlap had 5 hits and Charlie Hodnett was able to finish what he started

7 to 6.

St. Louis came through with the game-winning runs in the bottom of the 9th

Werden who made the crowd happy when he stroked a base-hit plating two runs.
St. Louis rapped out 14 hits for the afternoon.

The win went to Hodnett(2-0) who allowed 6 runs in the game. John Murphy(0-2)

especially games like this, of course,' Dunlap offered. 'Everyone at the
stadium had a great time - did you see the fans go wild there at the end?!'
