St. Louis came through with the game-winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning as they scored 4 runs on 5 base hits. The highlight belonged to Perry Werden who made the crowd happy when he stroked a base-hit plating two runs. St. Louis rapped out 14 hits for the afternoon. The win went to Hodnett(2-0) who allowed 6 runs in the game. John Murphy(0-2) was the losing pitcher. 'Now that is what I call fun!
