Ad Gumbert was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game and Bill Dahlen had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Chicago Colts outscored the
Cleveland Spiders 12 to 3.

Chicago took the lead off Nig Cuppy in the first inning scoring 3 runs on 2
hits.  Walt Wilmot opened up the inning nicely when he reached on an error.
Dahlen stepped up to the plate and he lined a base-hit scoring a run.  Dahlen
took second on the throw.  After an out was recorded, Dahlen stole third and
scored when the ball ended up in the outfield scoring another run.  Cap Anson
followed and he tripled.  Sam Dungan came to the plate and would ground out
scoring the final run of the inning.  Chicago finished with 12 hits in the
victory.  

Gumbert(2-2) got the victory, allowing 3 runs for the game. Cuppy(1-1) was
charged with the loss.  He allowed 12 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings.
