TEAM RISP- Americans: 8 for 18 Senators: 7 for 13

Jimmy Collins launched 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at American League Park as the
Boston Americans came back dramatically to top the Washington Senators by the
score of 13 to 7.

The difference in the game was the offensive outburst by Boston in the top of
the 9th inning as they showed no mercy on Washington blasting them for 9 hits
and plating 9 runs. The biggest moment was provided by Collins who
disappointed the partisan crowd when he belted a three-run homer. Boston
bats were very productive in the 9th inning which saw them plate 9 runs on 9
hits. Boston finished with 20 hits in the victory.

Bill Dinneen(2-0) allowed 7 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Al Orth(0-2) was charged with the loss. He allowed Boston 13 runs
in 9 innings of work.

After the game, it took a long while before Tom Loftus emerged from his
office. In a subdued tone he answered only a couple of questions. He
concluded with, 'Fellows, sorry I'm not in a very talkative mood this
afternoon, as I think you'll understand. I'm sure you'll find the banter a
lot more light-hearted over in the Boston locker room.'
