Center fielder Clyde Milan had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Tom Hughes went the
distance as the Washington Nationals defeated the Philadelphia Athletics by a
score of 11 to 5 at Columbia Park.

Hughes(2-0) gave a fine effort for Washington.  He went 9 innings and
surrended up 4 hits and 6 walks.  Washington rapped out 17 hits for the
afternoon.
